Safe & Sound Protocol & Focus System

Developed by Dr. Stephen Porges, founder of the Polyvagal Theory, the Safe and Sound Protocol is a non-invasive intervention designed to reduce stress and auditory sensitivity while enhancing social engagement and resilience.  By listening to music that has been specifically filtered to retune the nervous system, a restored sense of safety, an enhanced ability to learn, and improved self-regulation are possible (among many other documented benefits like improved sleep, digestion, and a sense of calm).

The SSP is suitable for most children and adults, and has been designed to work with a diverse variety of therapeutic approaches and modalities.  Its effectiveness has been proven in a wide range of studies including clinical trials involving children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, along with numerous case studies demonstrating effectiveness with emotional regulation, trauma, anxiety and more.  Research has even begun on how the SSP can effect the impact Long Covid.

The Focus System, which can be used as a stand-alone intervention or can pick up where the SSP leaves off, is also a non-invasive acoustic intervention that helps you improve whole-body movements like balancing, climbing, and jumping and mental abilities such as concentration, attention, focus. decision making, and problem-solving.
